It was a great day yesterday at the Wartime Living History Association display at Moneymore. There were plenty of interesting wartime vehicles, clothing and weapons available for all to see and it was unbelievable just how much effort that goes into making these events happen. It was also fantastic to see the mock battles and snipper attacks where gunfire and explosions were guaranteed. Special thanks must go to the group of German wartime exhibitors who scared the crap out of me with their machine gun fire just before I took off for my first flight. I’m always glad to oblige a good laugh at my expense even though my heart was doing ninety!!

Well worth a look for all the family and a great bunch of guys.

Organizers of this years Zone World Knockout competition have just released the pilots list and it goods like its going to be a competitive competition! Yours truly is in there too and will be flying my Miniature Aircraft USA Whiplash nitro and electric helicopters in the comp. I am really looking forward to it but it is going to be hard work……bring it on!

Today was probably the sunniest day of 2012 so far and what better way to spend it than out flying my helicopters with friends! A cracking days flying with plenty of fuel and electrons consumed……roll on those long summer evenings!!

Check out the full range of Savöx servos on the CML Distribution website. I have been running these servos for a long time now and am super impressed with their performance, durability and reliability….and all of this coupled with very reasonable pricing for servos of their type.

Had a great day today flying my Whiplash Nitro with Matthew Poots and his dad Trevor. The Whiplash was flying awesome as usual and Matt was trying out his new 120cc petrol powered Hangar 9 Extra from Horizon Hobby.

I am pleased to announce that I am beginning the 2012 flying and competition season as a Mavrikk Blades pilot!

I have been playing around with Mavrikks for a while now and have been very impressed with their consistent quality and of course their performance on both my 700 and 600 sized helicopters.

Whiplash Nitro testing

It’s been a while since I added any info on here but here we go! It’s a quick pic of my Miniature Aircraft Whiplash Nitro prototype. The Whiplash Nitro hasn’t hit the shops just yet unlike its electric brother the Whiplash 12S which is doing really well out there.

I’ve had my kit for about 7 months now testing various bits and bobs, some of which worked and others had to be shelved but I suppose that’s what it’s all about. The good thing is it’s all going the right direction. We are working hard to iron out every last wrinkle before it is released to the public and it is getting there……believe me it is worth waiting for!
